Vintage Sindy Adventure Story – Set of 4 Paperbacks (c. late 1960s))

A charming original set of four Sindy storybooks published by Young World Productions, London – the first narrative books issued to accompany the beloved British fashion doll. These were sold in toy shops alongside Sindy dolls during the late 1960s and early 1970s and are now highly sought after by collectors.

2. The Lone Swimmer

3. Lighthouse Mystery

4. Desert Escapade

Each book features delightful period illustrations in two-colour printing (“with colourful pictures” as advertised), showing Sindy and her friends on a range of exciting holiday and travel adventures.

Condition

These are vintage paperback editions with gentle age-toning to pages and some wear to covers consistent with age. All bindings remain intact and pages are complete. A lovely, honest set from the era — rare to find as a group.

A very sweet little slice of Sindy history — the stories were designed to make her world feel like a real girl’s life, full of travel, adventures and friendships. Very few of these sets survived together, as most were well-loved and read to pieces. A lovely find.
