Description
Before plastic and single-use nursery ware became the norm, newborns in Australian maternity wards were fed from sturdy Pyrex glass bottles just like this one. These “Endura” grade feeders were made for hospital sterilisation — strong, clear and flame-resistant — and they helped usher in a new era of safer infant care.
There is something deeply touching about holding one in your hand today: a reminder of tiny fingers, night-shift nurses, and a time when almost everything in a baby’s world was made to last.
This example is a lovely survivor with bold PYREXembossing to one side and ENDURA to the reverse. A beautiful nursery keepsake, display piece for midwives or doulas, or a sentimental little link to the early days of modern childcare.
