A traditional Nepalese kukri, recognised for its distinctive curved blade and long cultural history.
This style of knife has been used for centuries across Nepal, both as a practical tool and as part of everyday life. Its inward-curving blade is designed for strength and efficiency, giving it a form that is both functional and immediately recognisable.
This example is paired with its original sheath, finished in deep red fabric with brass fittings — adding a decorative element to an otherwise utilitarian object.
Details:
- Traditional kukri knife
- Curved steel blade
- Bone or horn handle
- Decorative sheath with brass mounts
- Approx. 30 cm blade (adjust if needed)
Condition:
Vintage condition with visible wear and surface marks to the blade, consistent with age and use. Sheath shows wear but remains intact.
Collector’s Note:
Kukris are closely associated with Nepalese culture and have also been carried by Gurkha soldiers, though many examples like this were made for everyday use or later export.
