This gently curved “banana” style baby feeder is a wonderful little glimpse into early feeding design — shaped to rest easily in a parent’s hand (or even in the crook of an arm), at a time when glass was still the safest and most trusted option for infant care.

Embossed LACTOGEN, this version was linked to one of the earliest commercial milk foods for infants — a reminder of the way feeding gradually shifted from home-prepared mixtures to branded formula products. It carries both the tenderness of the nursery, and the story of changing motherhood in the 20th century.

A beautiful piece for collectors of early childcare history, maternity memorabilia or vintage advertising.
