Vintage Stanley hand drill,  the "MADE IN ENGLAND" marking dating to post war England from 1945.

It's a manually operated tool used for drilling holes in wood or metal.

  • Stanley acquired the British company J. A. Chapman in the 1930s, which was a manufacturer of carpentry tools, including hand drills. Stanley also established a manufacturing base in Sheffield, England, in 1936, which included a factory making drills.
