Victorian silver plated serving ladle by Mappin & Webb

How beautiful is this traditional English silver plated Victorian ladle?

It’s decorated with an old English pattern handle terminal complete with engraved armorial crest showing a bird of prey perched on a hand, the cuff with a crescent.

It was made by Mappin and Webb, Sheffield in about 1884. Good condition with light wear for age.

Perfect for serving up sauces, condiments, gravies and soup.
