A beautiful example of late Victorian English porcelain, this decorative Royal Worcester mug is a lovely combination of colour, craftsmanship and history.
Standing approximately 11.5 cm tall, the straight-sided porcelain mug features delicate pink daisy-like flowers with green foliage, framed by striking turquoise geometric borders.
The decoration is particularly special, with raised white enamel jewels, intricate gilt beading and fine gold bands adding texture and richness to the design. Even the elegant handle is finished with gilding.
The underside bears a purple crowned Royal Worcester factory mark, consistent with late 19th-century production. We believe this piece dates to approximately 1880–1890, although the exact year and pattern have not been confirmed.
More than 130 years after it was made, this charming mug would make a wonderful addition to a collection of English porcelain, or a beautiful decorative piece displayed among antique china.
A lovely little survivor from the Victorian era.
