Charming and rare baby’s plate by Shelley Pottery, Staffordshire, dating to the 1920s. The rim is boldly inscribed “BABY’S PLATE”, while the centre features a colourful transfer of Cinderella seated at the spinning wheel, visited by the old woman.
Part of Shelley’s highly collectible nursery and fairytale series, these plates captured the magic of children’s stories and were popular as gifts for christenings and birthdays. Today they are prized both by collectors of Shelley and lovers of classic fairytales.

Condition: Good antique condition with no cracks or chips. Some age-related wear and light staining, but the transfer remains clear and the plate displays beautifully.
