A beautifully elegant mid-century porcelain vase by Alka Kunst, Germany, in the delicate “Winny” pattern.
Description
A beautiful pair of mid-century pink trumpet vases, dating to the 1950s–1960s, and likely of Central European origin — most commonly attributed to Czechoslovakian or Bavarian ceramic production of the period.
These vases feature the classic trumpet form with scalloped rims, soft blush pink glazing, and hand-painted blue florals. Each sits in an ornate white base with applied leaves and flowers, finished with subtle gold detailing — a style strongly associated with decorative European export wares of the post-war era.
They are especially striking styled as a pair, traditionally flanking a clock or mirror on a mantelpiece or sideboard.

Deb’s Note
These are classic mid-century statement vases — decorative rather than minimal, and made to be noticed. Perfect for mantelpiece styling, particularly with an antique clock or framed artwork between them.
Czechoslovakia was a Central European country formed after the First World War, well known for its high-quality ceramics and glass. Many decorative pieces like these were made there in the 1950s and 60s
