A softly romantic early 20th century Japanese porcelain tea set, hand-painted in blush pink, apricot and pale yellow with delicate florals and fine gold trim.
This set carries that beautiful interwar export charm — the kind that would have sat proudly in a china cabinet and only come out for “best”.
The scalloped moulding, gentle airbrushed shading and hand-finished floral sprays are characteristic of Japanese export porcelain produced between the 1910s and 1930s, often associated with early Noritake-era styling.
It is not English bone china — it is Japanese hand-painted porcelain made for the Australian and British market.
