Antique French Carabinier helmet c.1840s

What an amazing life this helmet has had, and how amazing for it to end up in Mackay, from it’s beginnings in France in about 1840.

Made of brass with a coir rope on top that would have held a horse hair plumage 

its condition it’s in unrestored condition, and a u Kai’s piece.
