Australian Military Jungle Machete – Broad Arrow Mark, Bakelite Handle (c. 1940s–50s)
Couldn't load pickup availability
A substantial Australian military-issued jungle machete, featuring a clear broad arrow mark and an earlier-style construction.
Unlike later dated examples (MA65 / MA72), this piece carries no date stamp, indicating an earlier production period — most likely late WWII to early post-war. The broad arrow confirms official government ownership.
The machete features a heavier steel blade and a moulded Bakelite-style handle with cross-hatched grip, designed for durability and control in harsh field conditions. It is paired with its original leather sheath, adding both authenticity and display appeal.
A strong, tactile example of early Australian military field equipment — and a noticeably different form from later standard issue machetes.
