A centrepiece with movement, light, and grace.
This exquisite three-piece float bowl was made in Czechoslovakia in the early 1930s by Josef Inwald Glassworks, renowned for its fine Art Deco pressed glass. Known as Poisson Volant (French for Flying Fish), it features a stylised fish leaping from water — a classic Art Deco motif symbolising elegance, motion, and modern design.
Made in soft rose-pink Depression glass, the set includes:
• A wide shallow bowl for water or flowers
• The original flower frog (grid insert)
• The sculptural ‘flying fish’ figurine
When assembled, the fish appears to leap gracefully above the bowl — a true sculptural form that catches the light beautifully. Designed as a floral display bowl or table centrepiece, it was often used for foyer arrangements, wedding tables, and parlour displays.
✨ Highly collectible and sought-after by Art Deco and depression glass enthusiasts.
In excellent condition, particularly rare to find with all three original pieces.
📏 Dimensions:
• Bowl: approx. 280mm diameter x 75mm high
• Full height with fish: approx. 220mm
