This beautiful antique copper chamberstick dates to the late 18th to early 19th century (circa 1780–1830) and shows all the quiet signs of a life well lived.
Made from hand-formed copper with a brass candle tube, it features a wide scalloped drip tray and a side handle, designed to be carried safely from room to room before oil lamps and electricity became common.
Heavy candle residue, surface wear and a deep, time-softened patina remain, telling the story of its original use. Nothing has been polished or altered — this piece has been left exactly as found.
A wonderfully atmospheric object, both practical and poetic.
