1920s Sterling Silver Ladies Wristwatch – Gilt Dial & Original Plaited Strap (Not Working)

Description

There’s something so gentle about a vintage watch — a tiny reminder of slower days and smaller moments. This one feels like it’s listened to more whispered conversations than most rings or necklaces ever could.

This sweet little survivor from the early days of wristwatches, dates to the 1920s–30s and still wears her history beautifully. The sterling silver case has a soft, aged patina, and the gilt dial features a wonderfully ornate floral centre with Roman numerals circling the edge — elegant, feminine, and unmistakably Deco era.

Even more special is the original plaited leather strap, rarely found intact on watches of this age. The watch is currently not working, making it ideal for a collector, restorer, prop/styling piece, or simply as a wearable piece of vintage jewellery layered with bangles and charm bracelets.

Sometimes a watch is more about the story than the ticking — and this one has nearly a century of it.
